We celebrate our Sunday Eucharist at 9.30am, at the Community of the Sacred Name Chapel, 300 Tuam Street, Central Christchurch.

The Community of the Sacred Name and car park is accessible via Tuam Street. The CSN has its own carpark and there is also plenty of street parking in both Tuam and Barbadoes Streets.

There will be a morning tea following the Eucharist each Sunday, which will offer us all an opportunity to care for each other.

Collects and Prayers

Collect for the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Unpretentious God,

you call us as we are;

and in our weakness you find strength.

Help us so to delight in who we are,

that we are set free

to dream of all that we could yet become;

Through Jesus Christ our Liberator,

who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.   Amen

Lord of compassion and power,

be with those affected by the Corona Virus as so many suffer

while others’ lives are disrupted and filled with uncertainty.

Give your grace and strength to all who minister

to their needs of body, mind and spirit.

Heal and help those who are traumatised by what is happening.

Give peace to the dying.

Comfort and support the bereaved, broken and confused,

and to all who are working to bring relief,

give strength and resilience

to do their work well;

In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen
